A Clark, WY Destination Wedding
I love getting to be a part of wedding days. Each one is unique and special, and each couple has their own quirks. It is so fun to really get to see my couples behind the scenes during one of the biggest moments in their lives.
Haleigh and Chase’s wedding is obviously no exception! They are so sweet and absolutely adorable. They are pretty down to earth; and their day was filled with so many moments of joy, laughter, fun, and love. There may have even been some playful shenanigans going on….Maybe something like a sneak attack with cake to the face, with a devious photographer and videographer to help distract the groom and then a bold retaliation with more cake flying everywhere.
Or maybe a moment of absolute hilarity when the groom, toward the end of the night, grabbed a helium filled ballon and breathed it in. Once again nudged on by the videographer and his own curiosity, Chase breathed in the helium, said, “I love you, babe” in a high pitched oompa loompa voice; he pulled his bride in tight- feigning a kiss, but breathing the helium out to her. Haleigh being a great sport, breathed it in, pulled back and told Chase, “I love YOU, babe!” sounding more like a chipmunk than an oompa loompa.
This whole scene had us all rolling, and thank goodness we all have it captured now for forever!
Though that was definitely one of the funniest parts of the day, there were so many amazing and precious moments during Haleigh and Chase’s beautiful wedding day. During the ceremony, Chase played the guitar and sang to his sweet bride. There wasn’t a dry eye among the guests while he serenaded her beautifully. Jules, the maid of honor, the friend who then got to become Haleigh’s step sister, gave the most endearing toast and cried joyfully over Haleigh becoming a wife. She shared that, at first, she was sad to have to share Haleigh with Chase, but now she has realized that she is so grateful to be able to share her sister with him and is so happy that now Haleigh can go through life with “two true partners in crime”.
I am so grateful and completely honored to have been able to capture this day for them. There were some things at the beginning of the day that didn’t go quite as planned, and Haleigh could have been so disappointed and upset and stressed, but she maintained her cool, levelheadedness and just rolled with the punches! She chose to focus on the positives instead. She was marrying her best friend, nothing was going to get in the way of that!
The weather was absolutely beautiful even with some clouds, and more wind than we all would have liked. But it really was a picture perfect day!
Thank you Haleigh and Chase for choosing me to capture and spend one of the most special day of your lives’ with you. It is truly an honor and blessing for me and I am so glad that I have been able to get to know you! I hope you love these photos as much as I do! Congratulations! Cheers to a whole lifetime to come!
